Lindsay Holst serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Digital Content in the Bureau of Global Public Affairs. Ms. Holst served as an advisor to the digital team on the Biden-Harris campaign, and as a senior advisor to the 2020 Democratic National Convention, where she oversaw digital programming and strategy for the first-ever virtual convention. Prior to that work, she spent several years helping a variety of public figures and organizations–including the Biden personal office–communicate their messages effectively online. Ms. Holst previously served in the Office of Vice President Joe Biden as Director of Digital Strategy, and prior to that appointment, in the Executive Office of President Obama as the Director of Digital Content in the Office of Digital Strategy. Earlier in her career, Ms. Holst helped oversee the digital and email programs at the Democratic Party and on the Obama-Biden re-elect campaign. She has also occasionally tried her hand at screenwriting. Ms. Holst holds a B.S. in Journalism from Boston University. She is originally from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
