PEPFAR Supported Young Women In Kenya

Populations

Reaching Those Who Are Often Being Missed

To achieve and sustain HIV/AIDS epidemic control, PEPFAR is committed to ensure all ages, genders, and at-risk populations know their HIV status, receive lifesaving HIV prevention and treatment services, and are virally suppressed if they are HIV-positive.

PEPFAR uses data to focus its investments on reaching the highest burden populations, many of which are too often being missed with HIV prevention and treatment services. Based on survey and program data, this requires particular attention on reaching children, including orphans and vulnerable children; adolescents; women under age 25; men under age 35, and key populations.
