The Department of State’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (TIP Office) announces an open competition for funding to address the impacts of COVID-19 on efforts to combat human trafficking and support government measures to combat human trafficking outside of the United States.

The open competition will be conducted through an Annual Program Statement, which is an open-ended, annual funding opportunity to generate competition for new awards.  The Annual Program Statement is open for approximately one year (August 14, 2020 – June 30, 2021), during which U.S.-based and foreign non-profits, nongovernmental organizations (including faith-based organizations), public international organizations, institutes of higher education, and for-profit entities can submit applications at any time.  For-profit organizations are not permitted to generate profits from grant-funded activities.  U.S. government agencies and foreign governments are not eligible to apply.  The TIP Office will evaluate all applications and, on a quarterly basis, fund selected applications four times throughout the year.

Organizations interested in learning more about this opportunity can view the details via www.grants.gov  (https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=328674 ) and SAMS Domestic (https://mygrants.service-now.com/grants ). All applications must be submitted via SAMS Domestic (https://mygrants.service-now.com/grants) by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on June 30, 2021, to be eligible for consideration. To be competitive under this funding opportunity, applicants must be fully responsive to all directions in the Notice of Funding Opportunity.
