Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs Jennifer R. Littlejohn will travel to Colombia from November 7-10, 2023. During her visit, she will discuss nature and marine conservation, plastic pollution, the climate crisis, reducing deforestation, nature crimes, and the use of mercury in artisanal and small-scale gold mining. Her trip also will focus on promoting gender equity and equality and engaging Indigenous communities, women, and youth to address global issues such as the climate and biodiversity crises.
