In Nicosia, Bucharest, and Sofia, Assistant Secretary Bitter will meet with host government officials to discuss further facilitating travel between our countries and other consular issues of mutual interest. In all four cities, she will engage with embassy and consulate staff and observe consular operations. The trip underscores our deep and sustained commitment to the protection of U.S. citizens overseas and the facilitation of legitimate travel and immigration to the United States.
