Assistant Secretary of State for Conflict and Stabilization Operations Anne A. Witkowsky will travel to New York December 8-9 for meetings with counterparts at the United Nations.  Their discussions will focus on opportunities for engagement through the U.S. Strategy to Prevent Conflict and Promote Stability, a core component of which is working with multilateral partners on the ground in priority geographic areas.  Their discussions will also focus on opportunities for engagement on the thematic issues of atrocity prevention and women, peace, and security.
