Belize National Day

On behalf of the United States of America, I congratulate the people of Belize on the 42nd anniversary of your Independence Day.

On this day, the United States recognizes our strong partnership with Belize, anchored in our shared commitments to democratic values and respect for human rights. We are grateful for Belize’s leadership in supporting humane migration management through the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection and its efforts to foster citizen security, address climate change, and prevent transnational crime. The United States will continue to support Belize as it creates the conditions for a more secure and prosperous future for its citizens.

In the spirit of this partnership, the people of the United States wish a very happy 42nd Independence Day to Belizeans everywhere.
