Cliff Seagroves currently serves as the Principal Deputy Director of the Department of State’s Office of Foreign Missions (OFM).  Mr. Seagroves began his career with OFM in 2002 and is considered one of the Department’s primary experts on matters involving the operation of diplomatic and consular missions in the United States.

He has served in a number of roles within OFM during his tenure, including as OFM’s Acting Director.  Prior to his career with the Department, Mr. Seagroves worked as an Intern in both the Political and Consular sections of the U.S. Embassy in Budapest, Hungary.  He served as Revenue Officer with the North Carolina Department of Revenue from 1999 to 2002.

Mr. Seagroves earned a Master of Public Administration degree from North Carolina Central University and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from East Carolina University.  He also holds a Certificate of Achievement in Russian Media Studies from St. Petersburg State University in St. Petersburg, Russia.
