Eva Weigold Schultz

Eva Weigold Schultz is delighted to join FSI as the Dean of the School of Professional and Area Studies. She is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor. Prior assignments include Deputy Chief of Mission and Chargé d’Affaires at Embassy Bern, Deputy Executive Secretary in the Office of the Secretary, Executive Assistant to the Under Secretary for Democracy and Global Affairs, Deputy Director for the Office of the Arabian Peninsula in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Executive Director of the U.S.-Afghan Women’s Council (while on detail to Georgetown University), and Director for Andean Affairs at the National Security Council. Other overseas assignments include Tel Aviv, Dublin, Frankfurt, and Kingston.
