HomeBiographies...Nancy Leou hide Nancy Leou Deputy Executive Secretary Executive Secretariat May 15, 2023 - Present Nancy Leou joined the Office of the Secretary of State as Deputy Executive Secretary in May 2023. Prior to this assignment, she served as Director of the Office of Analysis for East Asia and the Pacific in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research (INR). Ms. Leou previously served as the Special Advisor to the Vice President for East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific; the Deputy Director of the Office of Korean Affairs; and Director for China and Asian Economic Affairs at the National Security Council. She has also served assignments abroad in Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong and Ho Chi Minh City. Ms. Leou is a graduate of UC Berkeley, Georgetown University and the National War College.
