Seth Rogier is the Executive Director of Management for the Foreign Service Institute. He is responsible for the development, coordination, and successful execution of management and administrative policies and business operations throughout the organization. Previously Seth served as the Executive Director for the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and other offices in the “R family” and the Deputy Executive Director for the Bureaus of Administration and Information Resource Management. Additional roles in the federal government have been at State and at the Department of Commerce. In these roles, Seth focused on developing solutions and business processes to drive down costs and increase efficiencies in management processes. Seth spent several years as a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton working with both federal and private sector clients in areas from healthcare to aerospace. In a previous career, Seth was a nuclear submarine officer in the United States Navy. Seth holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois and a Master’s in Public Administration from American University. He is a native Midwesterner and enjoys the finest parts of Midwest culture including BBQs, tailgating, and watching sports.
