Our Mission

OEM provides planning, training, exercises to ensure preparedness for the Department's leadership and workforce to respond to and recover from all domestic hazards affecting the Department and to ensure the continuation of the Department's mission in conjunction with our partners. OEM aspires for the Department's workforce to be prepared for responding to and recovering from any domestic incident, and for the interagency to recognize the Department as a center of excellence in emergency management and continuity planning.
