Cpl. Charles McMahon, Jr., Marine Security Guard (MSG), died on April 29, 1975, in Saigon, South Vietnam, during a Viet Cong rocket attack. His hometown is Woburn, Massachusetts. According to the book, “The Marine Corps and the State Department,” he and MSG Darwin Judge were the last two Americans to die in the Vietnam War.
