Deputy Secretary Campbell’s Call with Spanish State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs Martínez Belío

Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell spoke today with Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs State Secretary for Foreign and Global Affairs Diego Martínez Belío.  The Deputy Secretary and the State Secretary emphasized the importance of engagement with regional leaders to ensure humanitarian aid reaches Palestinian civilians.  They also reaffirmed steadfast support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s brutal and unprovoked war.  They discussed the upcoming NATO Summit in Washington and our crucial relationship as NATO Allies.  They also shared priorities on the Sahel and issues related to the People’s Republic of China.
