Ghana’s National Day

On behalf of the Government of the United States of America, I send best wishes to the people of Ghana on the 64th anniversary of your independence.

As your celebrations take on a different form this year due to the continuing global pandemic, it is all the more important to reflect on the strengths of our partnership.  The United States and Ghana work together, side by side, on a range of initiatives, including the promotion of democracy and the rule of law, economic prosperity, regional security, and public health.

As your nation celebrates Independence Day, the United States is pleased to stand with our Ghanaian partners and friends.
