Dumitru Daniel Bosogioiu allegedly played a key role in a sophisticated Internet fraud ring targeting primarily U.S. consumers. The items for sale did not exist, potentially resulting in millions of dollars in losses to U.S. victims. Bosogioiu was indicted in December 2012 on charges including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering, passport fraud, and trafficking in counterfeit service marks.
