Laos National Day

On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to the people of Laos on the 48th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.

The United States looks forward to continuing its work with the Lao government to grow our relationship and support the Lao upcoming ASEAN chair year. We will continue to build strong ties through increased people-to-people exchanges, support for Laos’s development objectives, and further expansion of our U.S.-Lao PDR Comprehensive Partnership.

The vibrant Lao-American community in the United States contributes to these efforts, as we seek to build a more prosperous, peaceful, and secure Indo-Pacific region. Congratulations to all in Laos on your National Day.
