PEPFAR is proud to announce the impactful contributions made by its implementing agencies and implementing partners at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections , the premier annual scientific conference for the epidemiology and biology of human retroviruses and associated diseases. For more than 30 years, CROI has been a global convening of leading scientists, clinicians, public health experts, among others, where discoveries have been presented that have helped to accelerate progress in HIV/AIDS research. PEPFAR’s dedication to rigorous scientific research and its unwavering commitment to follow the science in its efforts to end HIV/AIDS as public health threat by 2024 were on full display at CROI 2024.

This year in Denver, Colorado, the PEPFAR team shared clinical, epidemiological, and translational insights that are crucial in supporting PEPFAR’s strategic objective of achieving the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets and supporting partner countries to deliver client-centered care for those living with and at greatest risk for HIV.
