Section 221 of the Iran Threat Reduction and Syria Human Rights Act of 2012, Public Law 112-158 (TRA), enacted on August 10, 2012, codified at 22 U.S.C. 8727, requires the President to publish a list of individuals that the President has determined are senior officials of the Government of Iran, as defined in the statute, that are involved in Iran’s illicit nuclear activities or proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) or delivery systems for WMD; support for international terrorism; or the commission of serious human rights abuses against Iranian citizens or their family members, as well as individuals determined to be family members of such officials.  The authority to publish this list and make these determinations has been delegated to the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Secretary of the Treasury.  This report, prepared annually by the Department of State, is being submitted to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Ways and Means, and the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives, and the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, and the Committee on Finance of the Senate.

The following individuals were specifically identified as meeting the criteria for immigration restrictions under TRA Section 221, with titles current at the time of designation:
