Scientific Advisory Board PEPFAR

As PEPFAR continues to accelerate progress toward achieving HIV/AIDS epidemic control, we receive advice from a broad array of experts on our Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) that helps inform our priorities, direction, strategies, and how best to weigh risks and benefits. SAB members represent the diversity of stakeholders in the global HIV/AIDS community, including representatives from academia, partner governments, multilateral and bilateral institutions, foundations, advocates, faith leaders, and non-governmental organizations.

The SAB is a federal advisory committee meeting the standards and regulations of the Federal Advisory Committee Act. The Board acts in a solely advisory capacity, concerning scientific, implementation, and policy issues related to the global response to HIV/AIDS. These issues are of ongoing concern and serve to maximize the impact of our investments toward controlling and ultimately ending the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
