He has successfully guided substantial individual and corporate clients through many sophisticated and complex transactions and litigations. He also has acted as the chair of a New York City civil court judicial screening panel and as an arbitrator for the Real Estate Board of New York. He immigrated to the United States from Romania at the age of 10, is fluent in Romanian and traveled to Romania. Mr. Zuckerman has stayed current with various issues and challenges that are facing Romania. Mr. Zuckerman’s leadership experience, his skills as a strategic communicator, skillful negotiator, his knowledge of law and business, and his management expertise all make him well qualified to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Romania. Previously, Mr. Zuckerman was Co-Head of National Real Estate and Co-Head of National Corporate Services, Epstein Becker & Green, PC, New York, New York (2007-2012), Partner, Head of Real Estate, Managing Partner of New York Office, Member of Management Committee, Lowenstein Sandler, LLP, New York, New York (2003-2007), and Partner, Head of Real Estate and Member of Management Committee, Davidoff & Malito, LLP, New York, New York (1994-2003). He served as counsel at a major national real estate firm in New York City (1987 to 1994) and prior to that as a law firm associate (1984 to 1987). Active in philanthropic and educational initiatives, Mr. Zuckerman was a member of the board of Kids Corp., a non-profit organization that supports underprivileged children in Newark, New Jersey, and serves on the alumni board of New York Law School. At the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Mr. Zuckerman earned a B.S. in life sciences and a B.S. in management from MIT’s Sloan School of Management. He earned a J.D. from New York Law School.
