Our Mission

The Office of Policy and Public Outreach (PPO) coordinates Environment, Science, Technology, and Health (ESTH) work throughout the Department of State and connects the Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES) to the public. From the ocean floor to outer space, we coordinate ESTH policy and tell a compelling story to achieve OES priorities and secure American interests.
