U.S.-Grenada Relations

Grenada has shown a commitment to protecting its democratic traditions and delivering educational and economic opportunities to its citizens. U.S. Assistance to Grenada

The U.S. Agency for International Development plays a role in Grenada’s development through its office in Bridgetown, Barbados. The Peace Corps has volunteers in Grenada who work in education. Grenada receives counternarcotics assistance from the United States and is eligible to be considered for U.S. military exercise-related construction and humanitarian civic action projects. Bilateral Economic Relations

The United States remains one of Grenada’s largest trading partners. Grenada is a beneficiary of the U.S. Caribbean Basin Initiative (CBI), which grants duty-free entry into the United States for many goods. The CBI aims to facilitate the economic development and export diversification of the Caribbean Basin economies. Grenada is a member of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM).

The Integrated Country Strategy is the four-year strategy articulating U.S. priorities in a given country. The Chief of Mission leads the strategy.

The Investment Climate Statements analyze a variety of economies that are or could be markets for U.S. businesses and provide information on the business climates.

The U.S. delivers COVID vaccines to Grenada.

COVID-19 Vaccine Deliveries

Since August, 2021 the United States has donated 103,080 safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine doses with the people of Grenada. This includes 103,080 Pfizer doses. Of the 103,080 vaccine doses, 72% were donated in partnership with COVAX and 28% were donated through bilateral agreements.

The United States is committed to leading an international and coordinated effort to accelerate access to safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines to meet global needs. The United States is working with other governments and partners including COVAX, Caricom, and the African Vaccine Acquisition Trust (AVAT) to protect communities from COVID-19 and apply lessons from this pandemic to enhance health security now and in the future.
