The following are examples of ongoing “tools of the partnerships trade.” We are open to suggestions for new public-private engagement tools! American Innovation and Partnership Series The American Innovation Partnership Series convenes foreign Diplomatic Corps, private sector, civil society, and academia to discuss current issues and identify opportunities for collaboration. Boldline: Partnership Accelerator Boldline is a partnership accelerator that connects the dotted lines between sectors and, by cultivating public-private partnerships, creates a #Boldline between them. Co-Creation Workshops Co-creation workshops foster collaboration across government and potential private sector partners to jointly research, pilot, and test innovative, practical, cost-effective, and scalable solutions. This innovative process matches potential private sector resource partners with grant applicants at the pre-proposal stage to leverage the Department’s limited funding. Diaspora Voices Diaspora Voices are interactive convenings that give diaspora organizations the opportunity to talk with top diplomats about the challenges directly affecting their communities- at home and abroad- and opens the dialogue for opportunities to work with the U.S. Department of State to address them. Diaspora Voices incorporates underrepresented perspectives into diplomacy and international development. To suggest a Diaspora Voices event, Contact Us. Partnership Opportunity Delegations (PODs) Partnership Opportunity Delegations (PODs) engage the U.S. private, public, civil, non-profit, and academic sectors in exploring potential partnerships and substantive cooperation between the United States and priority countries around the world. Trough highly curated, multi-day agendas of bilateral meetings, roundtables, and private networking events, POD and host-country participants share expertise and explore areas for meaningful collaboration. For upcoming POD info, visit the Opportunities tab. Short-Term Events Partnerships The Department of State frequently uses short-term partnerships to co-convene events with a private sector partner, such as receptions, meetings, or conferences. These events deepen public-private dialogue. Many short-term partnerships evolve into long-term collaborations.
